I’m 5 weeks into an 800sqft detached ADU build in Long Beach, and I had to jump on here to give a massive shoutout to Isaac and the 1Smart Build crew. I’ve been around enough projects to know that finding a contractor who actually does what they say they’re going to do is rare. Isaac is the real deal. ​Here’s the breakdown for anyone looking to build: ​Speed & Logistics: These guys don't mess around. We are only 5 weeks in and I’m already prepped for stucco and drywall. The organization on this site is top-tier; no guys standing around waiting for materials or direction. ​The Real Work: The build quality is excellent. You can tell Isaac hires actual pros who take pride in the structural integrity, not just the surface stuff. ​Straight Shooter: Isaac is a stand-up guy—honest, transparent, and his pricing is extremely competitive. He’s the Regional Manager but he’s always easy to get ahold of. If I have a concern, he’s on it immediately. ​The "Small" Stuff: I’ve got dogs, and anyone who’s done a back-unit build knows the yard can become a nightmare for pets. Without me even asking, Isaac rented 150ft of fence to wall off the job site so my dogs could still have their own space to run and play while the crew is working. That’s the kind of respect for a homeowner you just don’t see often. ​Isaac takes the "daunting" out of the building process and just gets the job done right.
