Bela Development

We had an incredible experience working with Michael and Baldo at Bela Development. As first-time renovators, we were understandably nervous, but they guided us through every detail with patience, expertise, and care. They completed a full gut renovation of our primary bathroom and a renovation of our guest bath, and the results exceeded our expectations. The tile work is absolutely gorgeous, the attention to detail is next level, and the job site was kept impeccably clean—which was especially important since my partner and I were living in the house with our dogs throughout the project. That level of thoughtfulness made a huge difference. Baldo was amazing at problem-solving and offering smart ideas and workarounds, especially given the surprises that come with an older home (ours was built in 1977). Michael was equally outstanding—always diligent, responsive, and proactive in addressing any questions or concerns I had along the way. I can’t recommend Bela Development highly enough. Skilled, trustworthy, and a true pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Ben and his crew were very communicative and easy to work with. They also gave me the most reasonable quote and went over and beyond for my condo. I had dealt with a roof leak and contractors that were the opposite - unreliable, negligent, sloppy, and fraudulent, so it was REFRESHING to find scrupulous contractors that stood by their work. They redeemed my nightmare (a torn out ceiling by a lazy roofer) into something beautiful. I love waking up in the morning to rays of sunshine shining through a gorgeous skylight they installed. They also installed a redwood ceiling that simultaneously elevated and warmed up my home. I will keep adding photos to this review because they simply provided an exquisite canvas for authentic comfort.

After the Eaton fires, repairing my elderly parents’ home was one of the most overwhelming, stressful, and emotionally draining experiences we have ever been through. Dealing with insurance, delays, and multiple contractors made everything even harder but Bela Development was truly a bright spot through all of it. They went above and beyond in every possible way and were incredibly patient, compassionate, and understanding of my parents’ situation. At a time when everything felt chaotic and uncertain, they treated my parents with respect, kindness, and genuine care, never rushing the process or making us feel like a burden. From the very beginning, Ben and Tom (the owners), along with Julie, showed exceptional professionalism and empathy. They never treated us like just another project. They truly cared about my parents, our home, and what we were going through. Their communication, attention to detail, and willingness to navigate the complexities of insurance made a world of difference for our family. It meant everything to us to find a company that could not only do excellent work, but also support a family during such a difficult and vulnerable time. Bela Development did exactly that. We are beyond grateful for their dedication, patience, kindness, and integrity. If you need any restoration or construction work done, I cannot recommend Bela Development highly enough.
