Preferred Kitchen & Bath

My wife and I recently completed a full kitchen remodel with Preferred Kitchen and Bath (PK&B). As a commercial construction manager, I have high standards for project execution, and Julie Wu and her team met them. Design & Planning: We began with PK&B's Conceptual Design Service. For a $200 fee (which was credited back to our contract deposit), Julie provided a 3D rendering that perfectly captured our vision. Their showroom is excellent; being able to see and touch the materials firsthand ensured there were no surprises regarding the final look. Execution & Communication: PK&B handled the entire permitting process and stayed exactly on their 12-week construction schedule. The subcontractors were professional and respectful of our home. We especially appreciated Suzy Sparks, who provided weekly updates so we always knew what to expect for the following week. Integrity & Problem Solving: In the construction industry, challenges and mistakes are inevitable and how a contractor handles them speaks volumes about their integrity. We experienced two examples of this: Unforeseen Issues: During demolition, we discovered a pre-existing leak in an upstairs shower drain. We also requested that PK&B fix some pre-existing water damaged flooring in an adjacent room. In both cases, they acted quickly and the change orders were very fair and reasonably priced. Post-Construction Support: After completion, we noticed a mistake in the backsplash installation. I was very impressed with the speed at which PK&B coordinated the subcontractor’s return to resolve the issue, and it was completed to our total satisfaction. Value Add: While we knew appliances were not part of the initial proposal, Julie provided us with her builder’s discount at a local showroom, resulting in significant savings. The Verdict: PK&B balances design vision with disciplined project management and, most importantly, they stand behind their work. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and highly recommend them.

I can't begin to express our gratitude to Preferred Kitchen & Bath regarding our gorgeous bathroom and laundry room remodel. We met with half a dozen companies when selecting a contractor, and after our meeting at our home with Patricia, one of the lovely design coordinators, we felt that PK&B best understood our vision and budget. Suzy, our assigned designer, was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was professional, warm, and genuinely attentive to all of our ideas and preferences. Thanks to her thoughtful approach and her precise attention to detail, and Jose and his fabulous crew, we now have a new bathroom and laundry room that are not only functional but absolutely stunning. Throughout the process, we encountered a few unexpected surprises due to the age and unique history of our home; however, Suzy handled every twist with patience and flexibility, quickly reworking the design to fit our new needs. The end result was a beautifully remodeled space that far exceeded our expectations. What really stood out was Suzy’s patience and responsiveness. Any time I had a concern, she addressed it immediately and thoughtfully. She gave us the pros and cons of every option and made sure we felt confident in every decision, never pushing us in one direction or another. She was consistently punctual, communicative, and kept us informed on the timeline throughout the project. It was truly a pleasure to work with Suzy, and we would love to work with her and Preferred Kitchen & Bath again on any future projects.
